Institute to host Open World Russian Jazz Musicians
The Brubeck Institute will once again host Russian jazz musicians in the Open World Cultural Leadership Program through the Library of Congress in Washington DC. This will be the fifth delegation of Russian musicians hosted by the Institute. The group includes a piano, bass, drums, and saxophone and is called the Open World Jazz Quartet (OWJQ), and will be here during the first two weeks of November. They will perform with the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet (BIJQ) and guest artists in several public performances.
