Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Seventh Annual Scholarship Golf Classic – A Big SUCCESS!

The Seventh Annual Scholarship Golf Classic sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy and the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was held September 20, 2009 at the Reserve at Spanos Park. Over 120 alumni, students, corporate sponsors, and friends enjoyed a day on the golf course in support of student scholarships.
With the addition of Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Therapy alumni and community supporters, scholarships will be created in their respective fields. This year Emily Ngo'11 was selected as the recipient of the Pharmacy Golf Tournament Scholarship.
Golfers participated in friendly competitions throughout the day on the golf course, including the putting contest, a poker game, "Guess Your Drive", and a hole-in-one with a prize of $10,000 cash. Funds generated from the tournament, including the games, prize raffle and silent auction, will allow the students to focus on their academics and participate in professional meetings and conferences. The strong bond and commitment from alumni, corporate sponsors, and the community exhibited in events such as the golf tournament is vital in the overall experience of our future practitioners.
The Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences would like to thank you for your continued support of our students and programs.
