Pacific Women's Swimming: Pacific in Third-Place After First Day of Pacific Invitational

After the first day of the Pacific Invitational on Friday, October 16, Pacific is in third-place with 232. BYU leads the competition with 413, trailed by Oregon State in second-place with 407.5, and Air Force in forth with 148.5.

In the women's 400 IM, senior KC Albiston (Salt Lake City, Utah) took a fourth-place finish with a time of 4:31.82, with senior Melissa McGhee (Elk Grove, Calif.) touching the wall right after her with a time of 4:35.34.

Freshman Mallory McGowan (Colusa, Calif.) finished fifth in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:07.30.

Albiston finished the 1650 Free in 17:23.41, to secure fourth-place for the event. Sophomore Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.) finished seventh with a time of 17:38.44. Freshman Jenna Chaplin (Nassau, Bahamas) had an eighth-place finish with her time of 17:55.85.

A team of Swalin, senior Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.), Albiston, and McGhee finished in fourth, completely the 400 Free Relay in 3:42.17.

Day two of the Pacific Invitational will start at 12:00pm on Saturday, October 17.
