Medicare Part D Informational Events Sponsored by Student Pharmacists
Beginning November 15, Pacific pharmacy students will be conducting community outreach events to assist individuals on Medicare to enroll into the appropriate Medicare prescription drug plan. The students can accommodate seniors who speak Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and Korean, among other languages.
Anyone that is interested in attending should bring their Medicare card and all of their prescription medications.
Following are is the event information:
- Fairfield - Sunday, November 15 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church Gymnasium located at 1050 North Texas St.
- Lodi - Monday, November 16 from 1 - 5 p.m. at Hutchins Street Square Senior Center located at 125 S. Hutchins St.
- Stockton - Wednesday, November 18 from 1 - 4 p.m. at Jene Wah Senior Center located at 28 E. Church St.
- Escalon - Thursday, November 19 from 1 - 4 p.m. at Escalon Senior Center located at 1854 Main St.
- San Jose - Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Vietnamese Community Center Mandarin Hall and Banquet located at 2143 S. Tenth Street
- Modesto - Tuesday, November 24 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m at Casa de Modesto Retirement Center located at 1745 Eldena Way
At many of the events, they also will offer free health screenings for glucose, cholesterol and bone density, and provide information on different health-related topics.
