Pacific Alumnus to Sing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show"

Dr. Matthew Hashimoto '08 was slected as one of eight semifinalists chosen from more than 7,000 submissions to sing in "Oprah's Karaoke Challenge." Footage of BeBe Winans surprising him in a dental operatory to announce his selection was shown on Oprah last Friday, Oct. 30.

Hashimoto, a 2008 DDS graduate from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, is currently in a periodontics residency program at Columbia University in New York City. He is in Chicago this week in rehearsal getting ready to be on the show Thursday, November 5.
