Pacific Field Hockey: Pacific No. 3 Seed in the West for NorPac Tournament

(November 5, 2009) - After sweeping play against UC Davis, the Pacific field hockey team earned the No. 3 seed in the west at the 2009 NorPac Conference Championships. The tournament is being hosted by Stanford University and is set to run Nov. 5-7.

Pacific (4-11, 3-3 NorPac) opens play on Thursday, Nov. 5 against the No.2 seed in the east, Longwood University, at 11 a.m. The Tigers will then either see host No. 15 Stanford or Appalachian State on Friday. Pacific will be looking for redemption from last year when they fell to Longwood 3-1 in the consolation game after dropping their semifinal contest against Stanford 3-2.

The team who claims the championship will face-off against the American East Conference champion in an NCAA play-in game on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
