Shasta Cascade

Mount Shasta

This region, north of Stockton, is the southern-most part of the Pacific Northwest's Cascades.

Home to Mount Shasta, it is a four-hour drive. On clear days you can see the snowy cap of Mount Shasta from the San Joaquin Valley.

Local lore maintains that Mt. Shasta is a spiritual power source.

The area offers opportunities for hiking, skiing and mountain climbing. It also boasts the largest concentration of spectacular waterfalls in all of California.
