Features of Residential Communities

Furniture

Each resident is provided with a twin size mattress (except in Monagan and Towerview which have a full size bed frame and mattress), dresser, desk, and desk chair. Most twin mattresses are 36 inches wide by 80 inches long and require extra long sheets. Extra long sheets will fit all twin size beds! The university will not place any furniture in storage to accommodate personal furniture items. Students will be responsible for any missing or damaged furniture at checkout. Upon check-in, make sure that you complete and review the Room Condition Report (RCR) or Apartment Condition Report (ACR). The RCR or ACR will serve as a reference when cleaning, damage, and loss charges are determined when you check-out. There is one phone line in each residence hall room and one in each apartment with the exception of Towerview, Theta Chi, and Townhouses. The typical residence hall room size is 12 feet by 12 feet. Apartment sizes will vary.

Laundry Facilities

Washers and dryers are available in all residence communities. PacificCash, a debt system tied to your ID card, is used to pay for laundry in most communities. Additional money can be added to PacificCash by depositing cash into Blackboard machines located throughout campus or using a credit card online at go.pacific.edu/pacificcard.

Cable Service

Standard cable service is provided in each residence hall room and most apartments at no additional charge. Premium channels may be obtained through the local provider at an additional cost to the student. Air Conditioning All apartment, residence halls and Greek facilities have air conditioning.

Internet

All traditional residence hall rooms, apartments and Greek facilities are equipped with direct wireless access to the Internet. Wireless access is available campus wide with the exception of Theta Chi, Townhouse and Towerview Apartments. The McCaffrey Center Apartments have wireless access only.

Telephone

University telephone service can be purchased for additional fee with the exception of Theta Chi, Townhouse and Towerview Apartments. Theta Chi, Townhouse and Towerview residents are responsible for their own telephone service and must contact AT&T to contract service.

Parking

Parking areas are available near all residence communities. Annual parking permits may be purchased at the Cashiers Desk in the Finance Center.
