Services and Furnishings Included
Laundry
Washers and dryers are available in all residence communities.
You can use your Pacific I.D. card and your PacificCash account to pay for all residence hall laundry machines. If you reside in the apartments, you will use a separate laundry card.
Cable Service
Standard cable service is provided in each residence hall room and most apartments at no additional charge. Premium channels may be obtained through the local provider at an additional cost to the student.
Air Conditioning
All apartment and residence hall communities have central air-conditioning.
Keys
At check-in, each resident is provided with a room key, outside door key (unless there is a card system access to the exterior door), and mailbox key. Lost or stolen keys need to be reported to the Housing Office. Students are charged for the replacement of lost keys or access cards.
Internet access
The University provides one wired Internet connection per bed in the residence halls, and one wired connection per unit in the Townhouse Apartments and McCaffrey Center apartments. You must bring your own Network Interface Card (NIC). Wireless Internet access is also accessible from many on-campus locations.
Standard cable service
Premium channels may be obtained through Comcast at an additional cost to you.
Telephone service
Except for the Towerview Apartments, Townhouse Apartments and Theta Chi home, local service, voice mail, speed dialing and call waiting features are included. Phone service is included in your housing costs, with the exception of Theta Chi, Towerview and Town Houses which is provided by AT&T. You must bring a touchtone phone. Your student account is charged for any long distance calls. There is no monthly service fee for long distance service.
Apartment furnishings included
In each Dining/Living areat:
- Couch
- Couch chair or loveseat
- Coffee table
- Dining room table and chairs
For each resident:
- Twin size bed
- Dresser
- Desk
- Desk chair
The university will not place any furniture in storage. You are responsible for any missing or damaged furniture at the end of the academic year.
Lounges
There are lounges on each floor of resident halls, and the Monagan / Brookside appartment communities. Each lounge is funished with couches and chairs and many offer a television, pool table and other relaxing amenities.
