Club Advisors

Since its inception, Pacific has recognized the significant learning that takes place outside the formal classroom. Pacific graduates are expected to function effectively in teams, both as leaders and as members. Clubs and organizations offer the laboratory experiences to develop these skills.

Leading scholars' research shows that participation in clubs and organizations improves the liklihood you will gradaute. Over 100 faculty and staff volunteer each year as advisors. They help each club and organization by teaching organizational effectiveness, finances, communication, interpersonal effectiveness, finances, communication, interpersonal effectiveness, and personal growth. Advisors help students develop effective leadership qualities.

Each club is required to have a faculty advisor. The Club Advisor's Guide describes what a faculty member needs to know for advising a student group. The brochure includes the benefits that co-curricular activities have on academic achievement, how effective advisement of student organizations strengthens the development of a student organization and its members, as well listing basic roles and responsibilities for the advisor.
