Faculty Spotlight
Beyond teaching, Conservatory faculty actively participate in their professional fields. Faculty regularly perform internationally, present papers at conferences, receive research grants, and are invited as guest speakers. All of these activities contribute to the rich musical and intellectual environment students experience while studying at the Conservatory. Some of these recent activities include:

- Robert Coburn: Fragile Horizon for viola, speaking voice, computer, and video premiered at the 2007 Brubeck Festival. (April 11, 2007)
- Robert Coburn: the saxophone version of In Stillness performed by Gilberto Bernardes will premiere at the International Saxophone Festival in Palmela, Portugal along with a performance of Fragile Horizon. (July 11, 2007)
