ASUOP Senate

The ASUOP Senate is the legislative branch of the student government. A representative is elected during the Sr ping Semester from each of the seven schools ad colleges, three are elected "at-large." The ASUOP Vice President serves as chair of the Senate and the ASUOP Senate President Pro-Tempore as vice chair.

The Senate forms the overall policy and goals of ASUOP, approves the annual budget, enacts legislation relations to student issues, and serves as a conduit for information flow from the students to the University administration. Meetings of the Senate are usually held each Monday at 4:00pm and are open to all members of the student body.
