Diversity and Multiculturalism

Pacific values cultural diversity. In our increasingly mobile and global world, understanding individuals and beliefs from many cultures has become a necessity of life. Increasingly, people of different ethnicities and from different social, religious, political, economic, linguistic, and educational traditions come together in the workplace, schools, and in the neighborhoods where we live.

Multicultural Affairs promotes cultural diversity and awareness by offering programs, services and activities that encourage cooperative relations among diverse groups. The University's multicultural programs include the PRIDE Center, Women's Resource Center, Celebrate Diversity and advises the United Cultural Council (UCC) which is a governing body for all cultural student organizations on campus.

The Multicultural Affairs office provides leadership opportunities for all students through the Multicultural Leadership Retreats, Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, Celebrate Diversity Calendar, International Dinner and a multitude of other events.
