Student Peer Advising
Academic Support offers academic assistance to you through Student-to-Student Advising. Our staff of forty undergraduate student advisers are paraprofessional members of the Student Life staff. They are familiar with University life and can help you with academic and personal adjustment.
Areas of support include:
- Time management
- Preparing for tests
- Choosing a major
- Four-year plans
- General education requirements
- Homesickness.
In addition, student advisers, working with faculty advisers, help students select and register for classes at Orientation. When appropriate, student advisers refer students to other campus resources to meet individual needs.
