Flu Advisory
The university has established a flu advisory page that will be updated as necessary; www.pacific.edu/flu.
Health Services has a specific policy and procedure regarding the H1N1 strain of influenza and can be found in this
PDF guide.
Meningitis Advisory
Health Services currently offers bacterial meningitis vaccines. Please contact us at 209.946.2315 ext 1 for cost information and to book an appointment.
Viral meningitis is serious but rarely fatal in people with normal immune systems. The symptoms typically last from 7 to 10 days and the patient recovers completely. Bacterial meningitis can be very serious and result in disability or death if not treated promptly. Often, the symptoms of viral meningitis and bacterial meningitis are the same. If you think you or your child has meningitis, see your doctor as soon as possible. For general information about the differences between bacterial and viral meningitis, see the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Meningitis FAQ.
