University TraditionsThe University of the Pacific has a distinguished past and important traditions. Our traditions serve to connect students with important aspects of campus life and assist students in achieving the full Pacific experience. Convocation brings the campus together to begin the school year. Commencement celebrates our students’ graduation complete with full academic regalia. Listed below are some of Pacific’s key traditions: our alma mater, the Tiger Fight Song, our school mascot and our school colors. The university seal is used to show authority and authenticity through symbols and designs while interpreting the University's heritage and mission.
