Owen Hall

Owen Hall houses the recording studio, keyboard laboratory,  several faculty studios, and approximately 20 individual practice rooms.  It also contains rehearsal facilites for the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet.

Recording Studio

With the opening of the new digital recording studio, students now have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of audio recording and production.  The studio features:

• Digidesign C-24 mixing control surface
• ProTools HD-2 hard-disc multi-track recording system
• JBL LSR4328P active studio monitoring system with subwoofer
• Two 50" plasma displays

The plasma displays are mounted above the mixing position allowing students to follow each step of the recording process.  Faculty and students now have the opportunity to make professional quality recordings.
