Submitting Items to E-News
All items submitted must be:
- University-specific. Sponsored by someone or an organization who is a member of the University of the Pacific community. The university organization cannot act as a proxy for another, off-campus organization.
- Complete. Items that are incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information will be returned to the submitter for resubmission.
- Brief. Items must be 400 characters or less in length. If you need/want to add more information, create a web page and include a link to the pacific.edu web page. If the link is not valid, the item will not be published.
- Suitable for publication. If your item is not accepted, the editor will email you and identify the reason for the rejection. An item is unsuitable if it:
- Is in conflict with University of the Pacific policy
- Advocates or promotes illegal activities
- Contains department, organizational, or personal news whose details should not be visible to the public or are not appropriate for a wide audience.
If the reason for rejection is resolved, you may resubmit the E-News item.
- Submitted by the deadline. An item submitted after the 4:30 pm deadline on the day prior to publication may not be included in the next day's publication. E-News items cannot be submitted more than 14 days prior to the item date.
Items may be edited for brevity, grammar, and suitability.
