Expertise: Production/Operations Management; Total Quality Management/Reengineering/Cycle Time Reduction; Material Management; Public Enterprise; Public Works/Infrastructure; Seaports and Water Resources.


Dr. Price's primary teaching responsibilities include Operations Management/Quantitative Analyses, Management Information Systems and Managing Quality and Productivity for undergraduate and graduate courses.

His research interests include public infrastructure and seaport management, operations management, project management, material management, total quality management and the application of management science/information systems to decision making.

Dr. Price has an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His Masters and Ph.D. degrees were taken at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, in Public Administration/Management Science with a minor in Systems Management through coursework in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration.

Professor Price's has been on the faculty of University of Pittsburgh, University of Arizona and University of Southern California. He continues to teach Quantitative Analysis at USC's Sacramento Center.

Dr. Price's research and publications are currently focused on public infrastructure, service operations and quality management. He has consulted widely in operations management and total quality management for clients in the public and private sector. Dr. Price is currently an appointed member of the San Joaquin County Advisory Water Commission.
