Dr. Sylvester teaches marketing research and consumer behavior courses, and his research interests focus on applications of marketing in the public sector and in the health care field. His most recent consulting work has included marketing research studies for a local hospital, a bank, and a human services agency in the areas of consumer awareness and utilization of marketing strategies.
His two major current research interests are hospital selection criteria used by consumers over varying medical scenarios and consumer perceptions and profiling of financial institutions.
