Centers and Institutes
The Eberhardt School of Business houses many centers of excellence that enable us to keep strong community ties and provide opportunities for student/faculty research, consulting and projects.
The Business Forecasting Center produces quarterly economic forecasts of the United States, California and 11 metropolitan areas in California. In addition to its forecasting program, the Center offers consulting services to businesses and government including economic impact studies, survey analysis, econometric studies, market sizing and forecasting.
The Center for Entrepreneurship offers academic programs that provide class projects, internships and consulting projects with entrepreneurial firms. I also supports the activities of the Business Forecasting Center, Institute for Family Business and the Invention Evaluation Service.
The Institute for Family Business assists family-owned businesses in finding and developing solutions to their unique business challenges. Through conferences, workshops and faculty assistance, it has provided regional and national expertise to the region's family-owned business enterprises.
The Invention Evaluation Service is an organization that assists aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs with the commercialization of their ideas. Supervised by a faculty member, graduate students evaluate the business potential for an idea in either the conceptual, prototype or patent phase.
Westgate Center for Management Development
The Westgate Center for Management Development serves the regional business community with a wide variety of management development programs. It offers innovative programming and renowned course instructors which help professionals stay abreast of the current trends and transformations in business management, technology, and strategy.
