New Idea Description

  1. What do you call you new product/service?
  2. Briefly describe your product/service.
  3. What do you envision as the immediate and/or future application of the idea?
  4. Why is your idea better for customers than what is presently available? What are its novel and unusual features? What problems does it solve?
  5. What do you consider as the major target markets for your product or service?
  6. Who do you consider as the major competitors for your product or service?
  7. How far along is your idea? Is it a concept, do you have drawings, or a prototype?
  8. Have you applied for, or been awarded, a patent?
  9. If applicable, how much additional research and development do you estimate it might take to develop your idea into a commercial product?
  10. What are the major hurdles to be overcome before your idea can be introduced into the marketplace?
  11. Have you actually tested or sold your new product/service in the market-place? If so, briefly describe.
