Brian Kendrick
Originally from Texas and now residing in Stockton, CA, drummer Brian Kendrick holds degrees from Texas Tech University and Syracuse University. He has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe in both jazz and orchestral settings with renowned artists such as Henry Mancini, Sarah Vaughn, and Ernie Watts. In New York he performed regularly with the Syracuse New Music Society, his jazz quartet, Blue Norther, and taught drum set and percussion at Syracuse.
Kendrick currently maintains an active performance schedule in Northern California playing with ensembles such as the Patrick Langham Quartet, Kendrick/Pivic Quartet, Habanero Quintet, Bear Valley Music Festival, Sacramento Chamber Orchestra, and Ensemble 20/21. In addition, he is a dedicated educator and teaches jazz at San Joaquin Delta College, percussion at CSU-Stanislaus, is director of Young Sounds of San Joaquin, and is on the faculty of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Camp and has taught in the Brubeck Institute Summer Jazz Colony.
