Vida En El Valle, a Spanish-language newspaper, had a story about Daniel Valdez's visit to the campus last week. It was a feature on the Tertulia event held in the evening.
Pacific professor emeritus Les Robinson was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle today on the death of Stanford professor Ronald Hilton. Hilton made history when he exposed the Bay of Pigs invasion to the world. Robinson was one of Hilton's students.
Channel 10 news interviewed several students and Eberhardt Professor Unro Lee about their project to invest $1 million in real money as a class project. It will air at 11 p.m.

The Record had a brief on the upcoming performance of Vagina Monologues on campus.
The Record had a story on the "Flowering Beauty" art show at Knowlton Gallery. In the story, it said the art show project also included a book written by the Jacoby Center's Bob Benedetti.
The Record had a story on the "Guitar Hero II" tournament in Stockton (A video game tournament.) Several Pacific students participated.

Professor Cynthia Dobbs was quoted in The Record about the traditional role of women. This was in reference to a story about Britney Spears' recent mental breakdown.
The Record quoted a report from the Eberhardt Business Forecasting Center about how unemployment is expected to rise 1.5 percent in the next month.
The Lodi News-Sentinel had a feature story on a invention called a Bataround - it's to improve batting skills - that was invented locally. The inventor said he took a class at Pacific on how to better market new ideas.

Newswise, a wire service that distributes American entertainment news to several different countries in Europe (Greece, Frances, etc.) picked up our Brubeck Press release verbatim today and sent it over the wires.
Reuters, one of the largest news services in the world, carried the Brubeck story this morning, which means it will appear in papers around the globe.
Channel 10 had the Brubeck story on their 6 p.m. news tonight.

The Modesto Bee had a story about California State University Stanislaus' sattelite campus in Stockton. The story both mentioned and quoted Pacific's tuition cost and made references that college costs at Pacific are beyond most people's budgets. I have requested a setting it straight on this story because they listed the wrong tuition for us. They listed a tuition that was 20 percent higher than our actual costs. I also lectured the editor this morning about our many scholarship and financial aid programs that lower the costs for most the students here.
