College of the Pacific
Facilities
The College of the Pacific continually updates its facilities and integrates the latest technology to facilitate teaching and research projects.
We currently have 40 technologically enhanced classrooms; some include assisted audio devices for the hearing-impaired. Wireless access is provided across our facilities.
We also have a number of lecture halls with theater-style technology such as projection screens and advanced sound systems. However, with our focus on small class size, most classrooms are optimized for classes of 20 or fewer students.
Other features of our campus include:
- Six computer labs
- 62 science laboratories
- A new biology building completed in 2008:
- — This two-story building is approximately 56,000 square feet, containing a lower floor designed with state-of-the-art teaching facilities and an upper floor equipped with faculty research laboratories, experiential learning laboratories and specialty equipment rooms.
- Light-filled art studios, including separate painting and ceramics studios
- Gallery space, including the Reynolds Art Gallery, which hosts artists and scholars in a series of exhibitions, lectures and workshops
- Two theatres with adjacent scenic and costume design facilities:
- — Long Theatre, a proscenium theatre seating approximately 380 audience members
- — DeMarcus Brown Studio Theatre, an intimate "black box" theatre with flexible seating arrangements accommodating up to 250
