College Faculty
Faculty members in The College take a personal interest in students’ development throughout their university career and often stay in contact beyond graduation. They spend time with students outside of class during office hours, advising, and campus events. They are attentive to individual learning styles and regularly rethink their teaching methods in order to help students learn better.
Members of the faculty also garner scholarly recognition for their cutting edge research and creative work in arts, letters, and sciences. Faculty in the College have authored and edited books with the leading university presses, regularly publish important research results in top scholarly journals, garner research grants from funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation, and participate in performances or displays of their creative work in distinguished venues.
