Academic Departments & Programs

With 18 different departments and a variety of interdisciplinary programs, the College of the Pacific provides a diversity of learning opportunities characteristic of much larger institutions while retaining our small, liberal arts college size and culture. 

Each of our departments and programs works hard to create a sense of cohesion among their majors and minors so that students develop a sense of community.  Culture-building activities occur both in the classroom and outside it, through field trips, department seminars and social gatherings. 

We encourage you to contact the faculty chairs of the departments and programs listed here to learn more.  Feel free to ask to speak to a current student in the programs in which you may be interested to gain a sense of the academic and student culture.
