College of the Pacific
Majors
The College of the Pacific offers an unusually varied and flexible arrangement of courses. We have designed a wide variety of majors to respond to the needs and career goals of students, including majors in a single subject such as chemistry, history or mathematics and majors in pre-professional studies, such as pre-law.
Students can also consider:
- Cross-disciplinary majors combining two areas of study, such as chemistry/biology
- Multi-disciplinary majors which combine the resources of several departments, such as liberal studies
- Joint degrees that take advantage of the courses and programs offered by the other schools on the University campus
In fact, a student may elect to take any undergraduate course in the University if the course prerequisites are met. This diversity and openness of curricular offerings and programs gives students the benefits normally associated with a large university while allowing them to experience the close faculty-student relationships which are a hallmark of the College of the Pacific.
Note: Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in a major program and complete a minimum 16 units in residence at Pacific.
