Summer Scholars Program
Test Drive College and be in the Fast Lane for Success!

If you know a high school junior or senior wondering what the college experience is all about, check out our Summer Scholars program, a summer learning opportunity designed to let teenagers test-drive college by living on-campus and taking classes, all the while teaching them tools to guarantee their survival.
Students take elective classes, earn academic credit, and live together to get an idea of what higher education has to offer.

They'll participate in campus events, take weekend trips to see what the area has to offer, and attend workshops that will prepare them for university life.
Located in Stockton, California, University of the Pacific provides an ideal setting for the Summer Scholars Program. With our outstanding, student-centered faculty, small class size, and individual attention, we're handing you the keys to collegiate success!
A Supportive Environment
Summer Scholars is college, with the added advantage of your Summer Scholars Advisor (SSA) .
SSAs are trained residential and academic advisors who'll give you specialized support and attention to help you navigate collegiate life.
SSAs will live with you, tutor you, advise you on your class selection, provide encouragement, keep your nights and days full, and, in general, teach you the rules of the road!
