Financial Aid

A majority of students receive financial assistance in the form of teaching assistantships, which include full tuition remission and stipend for living expenses (with the exception of students in the dual-degree programs.)

Students needing financial assistance must submit an Graduate, Teaching, and Research Assistantship Application and meet all GRE test score requirements.

Dual-Degree Programs

Students in dual-degree programs pay tuition during years one and two of the program, which involve the Pharm.D. curriculum.

The program helps students seek grant funding (fellowships) or to find jobs during these two years, but financial aid other than what could be expected for a Pharm.D. Student cannot be guaranteed.

During years three through five of the program, students will be granted teaching assistantships which include full tuition remission and stipend.

International Students

International Students seeking financial assistance must meet minimum teaching assistant TOEFL scores in addition to GRE scores.

International students must also submit a Certification of Finances form and Bank or sponsor documentation. Supporting bank documentation can be no older than 6 months old.

Although full tuition remission and a stipend are often awarded, U.S. Visa requirements state that students must have some financial support outside of university support in case of an emergency.

As of 2008 the Certification of Finance form required Certification of at least $5000 U.S. Certification of the full tuition and living expense amount is not required.

If students need guidance or a sample of how to fill out the Certification of Finance form, please contact Ron Espejo or Kathy Kassab.
