How to Apply

For your convenience we encourage you to print the Graduate School Admission Application Instructions , along with the Graduate School Application for Admission and three Recommendation Forms. If you need any other form for a particular program visit the Graduate Forms for Admissions page.

Please submit all application materials together.

If you are unable to print the forms, we will be glad to mail the forms. To obtain application forms by mail, please e-mail your name, address and program of interest to Gradschool@pacific.edu and application materials will be sent.

International Applicants

International applicants also must read the information for International Applicants.

In addition to the forms under What to submit, a Certification of Finances form with all required documents must be completed and sent with the application materials.

If you have difficulty filling out the Certification of Finances form please email for further instructions.

Financial Aid

If you are interested in financial assistance please make sure to complete the Application for Teaching Assistantship form and submit with application materials.

Teaching Assistantships are available to Fall and Spring Applicants.

Typical GRE Scores needed to be eligible are about 1900 paper based, or the computer equivalent.

The equivalent computer score for analytical is 133.33 x score (example 133.33 x 4.5 = 599.99) plus verbal score and quantitative score.

After You Apply:

Application processing time will take anywhere from 8-10 weeks.

If any documentation is missing we will contact you.

Once your completed application has been reviewed by the Department, the Graduate School will notify you of your acceptance by mail.

Official admission decisions must be in writing on letterhead from the Office of Graduate Studies.

Online admission letters and email notification are not official.

Any verbal or written statements about admission either express or implied from any other source, will not be official.

The Graduate School will also notify you by mail if you have been awarded financial assistance including teaching and research assistantship awards.

Your acceptance for enrollment in the program applies only to the term noted on the admission letter.

If you wish to change your entry date, you must request the change from the Graduate School.

Please be aware that the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) prevents us from discussing your application with any third party.
