Advantage Program
Advantage Program
The speech-language pathology program is tailored toward a smooth transition to advanced work in the field.
Indeed, with the Advantage Program, undergraduates who meet certain GPA and clinic requirements automatically qualify for our graduate-level speech pathology program.
Transfer students are also eligible for the Advantage Program.
Description
For the first two years in the program, undergraduate students focus on university general-education requirements while taking our foundation courses such as Speech and Language Development, Phonetics and Audiology.
During the junior and senior years, students begin taking the professional disorder courses such as Articulation and Phonology & Language Disorders I.
Also during junior and senior year, undergraduate students in the Clinical Methods I course will gain, for the first time, "real-world" experience working with patients at community clinics.
